Thank you for your patience and understanding as ACJS has been dealing with events surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We have heard from many of you and appreciate the feedback. Your safety and health are our primary concerns. Also, our thoughts go out to those who have been adversely affected by this rapidly-developing and serious situation.
While we were confident up until earlier this week that the meeting could move forward with minimal interruptions, the developments over the last few days have forced us to cancel the 2020 Annual Meeting scheduled for March 24-28 in San Antonio.
This difficult decision is unprecedented in the 57-year history of ACJS. We understand it causes inconveniences and are committed to minimizing those to the fullest extent possible. The Board and National Office are working through the many nuances associated with a complete cancellation. Details on the process and options for refunds will be forthcoming within 60 days.
If you booked a hotel room and have not already done so, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible. The National Office will not be responsible for room cancellations. The same is true for airfare and other travel expenses, if applicable.
We extend sincere appreciation and thanks to all volunteers who helped put together the 2020 program, including co-chairs Stephanie Mizrahi (California State University, Sacramento) and Robert Tillyer (University of Texas, San Antonio), as well as to the National Office staff for tirelessly working with our many registrants, vendors, and partners through this challenging time.
Thank you for your involvement with ACJS. We look forward to seeing you in Orlando in 2021.
