THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI is a Research I Institution that grants doctorates in 98 areas. The School of Criminal Justice grants the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. The School also houses the Criminal Justice Research Center and the Institutes for Policing and Corrections.

Position/Rank and Salary: The School of Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati is seeking applications for a position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with the appointment starting September 1, 2010, although the start date is negotiable.
Qualifications: Areas of specialization are open, but preference will be given to applicants with research and teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas: corrections, crime prevention, criminal justice, criminology and policing. Applicants must have a strong record of scholarship or provide evidence of the potential to develop a strong research program. Exceptional applicants who are ABD will be considered, but preference will be given to applicants who have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a related discipline in the social or behavioral sciences by the time of this appointment.
Appointment/Start Date: Appointment starting September 1, 2010, although the start date is negotiable.

SEATTLE UNIVERSITY – Seattle University Criminal Justice Department invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Criminal Justice Department starting Fall 2010. The Criminal Justice Department offers BA and BS degrees with specializations in Administration of Justice, Criminology, Forensic Psychology, and Forensic Science, and a MA degree in Criminal Justice with concentrations in Investigative Criminology, Victimology, and Criminal Justice Research and Evaluation. The department also has a Crime Analysis Certificate program, and a joint MA/JD Degree with the Seattle University School of Law. Our faculty is comprised of accomplished teachers and active scholars. Recent faculty publications have appeared in Criminology, Justice Quarterly, Criminology & Public Policy, Women & Criminal Justice, Crime & Delinquency, Criminal Justice & Behavior, Sage, Wadsworth, and New York University Press.
Position/Rank and Salary: Assistant or Associate Professor
Qualifications: PhD in Criminal Justice/Criminology, substantial record or promise of excellence in scholarship and teaching, and ability to teach a range of courses across the curriculum including research methods and statistics. Research specialization is open. JDs (without PhD) and ABDs will not be considered.  PhDs in disciplines other than criminal justice/criminology will be considered in cases where the candidate has expertise in relevant areas and demonstrated ability to teach a range of Criminal Justice/Criminology courses.

UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS LOWELL
Position/Rank and Salary: Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor, Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology
General Summary (Purpose) of Position - The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks three visiting positions for its programs in the Day School and in Continuing Studies, Corporate & Distance Education. The areas of specializations are open, but candidate must be able to teach courses currently offered in our program. For Visiting Lecturers, a Master’s degree or a J.D. degree is required, and for Visiting Assistant Professors, a Ph.D. is required.  Salary with a Ph.D. is $60,000 and with a Master's degree is $45,000.
